**GREAT LAKES BOER GOAT SHOW October 4, 2008 **

Many thanks to those who attended the 2008 Great Lakes Boer Goat Show. Special thanks goes to Jim and Deb Dabbs of Heritage Boer Goats who donated a very expensive show clippers which we raffled off amongst all our first place ABGA and Bred By class winners.

Special thanks also to Patti Haumann of Lake Breeze Boers who donated goat show collars to our first place showmanship winners. She also brought us goat sausage to sample. Yummy!

Of course, we couldn’t have had a show without the exhibitors, our awesome ring steward, John Mumper (thanks to Carla for letting us borrow him for the day), and our wonderful judge (and his wife), Kent Davidson of Davidson Livestock. June Scheunemann of Equine Enterprises acted as my show secretary and kept me on the straight and narrow. Our exhibitors brought a range of goodies for the potluck and many thanks to the ladies who double-checked that my husband was keeping everything stirred and unburned. The day flew by (at least for me). I hope everyone had a good time and if I forgot anyone’s aid, please forgive me.

A Little About Us

Greetings. We are a small farm located in northeastern Wisconsin, approximately 45 minutes south of Green Bay and 1.5 hours north of Milwaukee. Our animals are vaccinated once a year for CD&T. This is the only vaccination they receive. They are also wormed approximately four times a year. Ivomec (injection) is our choice of wormer.  We are a CAE, CL, and Soremouth free farm. We run a 30-50 doe herd (it fluctuates). Our commercial animals can be found as far north as Munising, MI and as far south as Mexico, as well as across the Midwest and on Washington Island.
